Welcome to Busy Bubbles Laundry, a family owned and operated business serving the residents of Des Moines, Iowa.

We take pride in maintaining a clean laundromat where customer service is our number one priority. Our shop is air conditioned, and we have free Wi-Fi. We are happy to serve you at our two locations!

Busy Bubbles Laundry is remaining OPEN at this time. It is important to have clean laundry. We have increased our already stringent cleaning practices in an effort to keep every one as safe as possible. We are asking that you help us keep the stores clean by sorting your laundry at home so it can go directly into a washer with minimal "shaking" out. It would be best to set a timer and wait in your car if possible. Please dont leave your laundry for extended period of time so everyone can get in and out quickly. It is best to not put your clean clothes back into the same dirty bag or basket they were brought in. If its not washable bring clean bags to put your clothes into. We will have cleaner if you want to wipe out your baskets. Please allow our attendants time to clean each machine between uses.

LOCATIONS

We have a drop off service for regular laundry offered at $1.25 per pound. We also wash items like comforters, blankets rugs, car covers etc. The price includes detergent, fabric softener, etc. Turnaround time is usually the same day if in before 6 pm. Please see the Laundry page for more info.

We also offer drop off service for Shirt Laundry and Dry Cleaning. Items in by 1pm will be back the next business day. Please allow extra time for leather or large household items.

HOW VALUABLE IS YOUR TIME?

The approximate time it takes to do a single load of laundry: 100 minutes!! (machines vary)

Wash Cycle 35-Minutes
Dry Cycle 45-Minutes
Fold 20-Minutes

Now of course if you have several loads, some of this is happening simultaneously, but it will still take most of a day to do several loads.

The average family of four will generate approximately 60 pounds of laundry a week! That would be about 6.5 hours of laundry time plus detergent, and utilities. (Don't forget that you have to shop for more detergent!)
